office for landscape architecture (ola) is the landscape architecture practice of carson booth.
landscape architecture is an inclusive, boundary expanding practice that creates, curates, and organizes the act of dwelling.

we make all kinds of gardens of all kinds of people.

carson is from kalispell montana, where he grew up exploring the woods, mountains, and meadows of the rocky mountain west.  his interest in landscape architecture and gardening began in his mothers garden, and developed further while working summers in landscape construction: building rock walls, installing irrigation, and planting trees.  these experiences gave him an appreciation for plant selection, materiality, and detailing.

carson holds a bachelor of arts in environmental design from montana state university, and a master of landscape architecture from the harvard graduate school of design.
